Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.

(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)

This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794
PI 651649
PI 651650
When searching a range of accessions, use the Advanced Search tab with the Accession Identifier Range criterion.

The more information you provide, the better the search will be.

0PI 700306'BARI Masur-8'Lens culinaris Medik. BangladeshNLGRPNot Available2022DEVELOPEDCultivarBARI Masur-8 was developed from a cross between ILLX955-135 and FLIP92-52L at ICARDA, Syria. The parent ILLX955-135 was a high yielding red lentil breeding line of ICARDA while FLIP92-52L was a germplasm of ICARDA origin resistance to stemphylium blight and rust diseases. 2137884PI 700306
1PI 700307'BARI Masur-9'Lens culinaris Medik. BangladeshNLGRPNot Available2022DEVELOPEDCultivarThe initial segregating population was developed at ICARDA, Aleppo, Syria from a cross commissioned in 2001 between a Stemphylium blight resistant line, ILL-6002, and ILL-5888 - a highly susceptible but agronomically superior Bangladesh landrace (first lentil variety in Bangladesh, ‘BARI Masur-1’). The F2 to F7 population was advanced at USDA-ARS, WSU, Pullman, Washington, USA by single seed descent (Saha et al. 2010).2137885PI 700307

11PI 663991ChakkoufLens culinaris Medik. subsp. culinaris MoroccoW6Not Available2011DEVELOPEDPRE 2011CultivarChakkouf is an early flowering (~88 d), early maturing (~139 d), and high yielding (~40% over the local check variety L24) lentil cultivar with high zinc (62 mg kg-1) and iron (76.7 mg kg-1) in the seeds. Chakkouf has a pigmented stem at seedling stage, slight pigmented leaves with rudimentary tendril, white flowers and develops up to 3 primary branches per plant. It has good early vigor and an average plant height of 45 cm. Seeds have light-brown testa color and yellow cotyledon color. `Chakkouf? showed field resistance for rust (caused by Uromyces viciae-fabae [Pers.] J. Schrot), wilt (caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp lentis) and Ascochyta blight (caused by Ascochyta fabae Speg. f.sp.lentis) during the years of evaluation in replicated yield trials n Moroccan experimental stations. `Chakkouf? offers the producer and economic advantage in the cropping system where it is planted as a rain fed crop in moisture-deficient soils, usually in rotation with cereals.1892249PI 663991

15PI 657980'ESSEX'Lens culinaris Medik. subsp. culinaris Washington, United StatesW62009DEVELOPED2009CultivarDeveloped using a modified bulk-pedigree procedure. Small seeded lentil with green seed coat and yellow cotyledons, which flowers in approx. 65 d and matures in 99 d. Has a mature plant height that averages 33.2 cm. Mean plant height index (PHI) calculated as the ratio of canopy height at harvest to overall vine length is 0.89. PHI values can range from 0 which is indicative of severe susceptibility to lodging, to 1 which represents complete resistance to lodging. Mean PHI and its mean mature plant height value indicate that it is a relatively tall lentil with good tolerance to lodging. Mean 100 seed weight is 4.3 g. Tested in replicated advanced yield trials for a total of 40 site-years in the US Pacific Northwest (ID and WA) and Northern Plains (MT and ND). Over all environments, averaged 1367 kg/ha. Mean yield over 23 site-years in the Pacific Northwest (WA and ID) was 1301 kg/ha. Mean yield over 17 site-years in the northern Plains (MT and ND) was 1456 kg/ha.1812343PI 657980

419PI 619099'MASON'Lens culinaris Medik. subsp. culinaris Washington, United StatesW6SEED2001DEVELOPEDPRE 06/14/2001CultivarAverages 1 cm taller, flowers an average of one day later and matures one day earlier when compared to the Brewer check. Plants are strongly branched at the base which imparts a bushy structure that enables the canopy to remain somewhat erect during the growing season. Uniform large seeds (100 seeds weight an average of 7.0 g vs. 6.0 g for Brewer). Seeds large with yellow cotyledons and seed coats light green and lack mottling. Large seed size and lack of seedcoat mottling are features that should appeal to markets in the U.S. and internationally. In cooking time tests from 1994-1996, required 22.0 minutes compared to 21.6 minutes for Brewer.1615459PI 619099

Grows taller than Digger and Northfield, and flowers earlier than all cultivars tested in the trials (flowering begins about 86 days after sowing compared to 93 days for Digger). Slightly more susceptible to Ascochyta blight (Ascochyta lentis) than Digger. Plants erect and compact with a slender stem. Anthocyanin pigmentation in the stem is absent/weak. Leaflets long (20 mm), yellow green (light) in color, and alternate with an elongated oval shape. Approx. 11.9 leaflets/leaf. Rachis length long (40mm) with long tendrils (29mm). Usually three flowers/peduncle that are white with blue viens. Pods bivalve, rhomboid with two ovules. Seed biconvex, plain, with uniform reddish-brown testa and red cotyledons.
