They were brought from there as saplings by their ancestors some 300 years ago when the village was founded." Information from "Tree Seed Origin and Quality" form (excerpts): Collector's Name: D.C. Shen. Year collected: 1968. Nation: Hong Kong. State or Province: New Territories. County: Tai Po District. Alt.: 50 m. Lat.: 22 degrees 28'. Long.: 114 degrees 9'.
