Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.
(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)
This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794
PI 651649
PI 651650
When searching a range of accessions, use the Advanced Search tab with the Accession Identifier Range criterion.
The more information you provide, the better the search will be.

| 0 | PI 698654 | 'Lightning' | Hordeum vulgare L. | Oregon, United States | NLGRP | | Not Available | 2021 | DEVELOPED | | | | | | Cultivar | Lightning (tested as DH130910) is a doubled haploid derived from the cross of TC6W265 (a facultative 6-row from the OSU program) and 29494_2991 (a winter 2-row from the program of Markus Herz, in Germany). The cross was made in 2012 and the doubled haploid was produced in 2013. DH130910 was advanced through mini-plot, preliminary, and advanced yield trials in the Willamette Valley of Oregon based on agronomic and malting quality performance. It then progressed to regional and national trials. Lightning was released with non-exclusive license by Oregon State University in 2020, based on its yield and disease resistance. It was tested in the American Malting Barley Association (AMBA) Pilot Program, but it is not on the AMBA recommended list, due to its non-conformity with standard malting protocols and the effects of water sensitivity. When maltsters have flexibility to adjust malting parameters, Lightning can produce excellent malts. Foundation seed of Lightning is available from Washington State Crop Improvement. | 2116202 | PI 698654 |
