Kernels medium dark in color with good animal feeding quality. Evaluated in advanced forage yield trials under 15 environments of northern Mexico from 1987 to 1991. On average, yielded 8590 kg/ha (37 and 60% more dry forage than Eronga 83 spring triticale and Cuauhtemoc oat, respectively). Average crude protein content 26.2, 24.7, and 16.7% at the first, second and third cut, respectively. In vitro dry matter digestibility 75, 71, and 67% at first, second and third cut, respectively.
