Narrative
While the lines collectively serve as a genome wide association studies panel, they also are all elite material. All lines are advanced breeding lines from Oregon State University (TCFW6-001 through TCFW6-265) and the University of Minnesota (TCFW6-266 through TCFW6-300) winter and facultative 6-rowed malting barley breeding programs. Key traits expressed among many or most of the lines include general malting quality, modest to moderate low temperature tolerance, high barley stripe rust resistance, and competitive yields (assessed in Oregon and Utah). 115 lines are winter type and 180 are facultative. The greatest value of these lines is the full genotypic and phenotypic data freely available through the Triticeae Coordinated Agricultural Project online database, T3 (triticeaetoolbox.org/barley, using the search term "TCFW6-").
