Narrative
Open growth, attractive tree, one fruit on ground. (EM Nauer, 12/22/1987)

Fruit medium-small, smooth rind, green with purplish/brown/red blush on some fruits, mostly pear shaped. Hard as a golf ball. (EM Nauer, 1/24/1990)

Aegle marmelos is described in Swingle and Reece (1967), pp 407 - 409. This information and very nice pictures are available from the UC Riverside Citrus Variety Collection. The other currently active accession of this genotype is PI 87496. Observations concerning rootstock compatibility as observed on the trees in CRC 12D are presented in Siebert et al (2015).
