Fruit medium, oval-conic, uneven, lemon-yellow; stem medium long, rather short and woody; calyx large, closed, in a narrow, shallow basin; flesh palest yellow, transparent, extremely juicy, well flavored, very delicious; Oct. -- U.P. Hedrick, The Pears of New York, 1921.A pure green pear, oval-conic in shape, growing in clusters if not thinned. The white flesh is very juicy, buttery and has the lightly acidulous and delicately perfumed flesh for which Bunyard could say, 'a very delicious fruit, worthy of cultivation.'
