Narrative
Unnamed seedling selection of P. integerrima from Lahore, Punjab, India. Introduced as seed in 1935 this lone pistillate seedling was renumbered from PI 107621. Apparently, the only female seedling in this introduction. Very vigorous. This species is resistant to verticillium wilt, but tender to cold. Its leaves turn golden-yellow in the fall while the new leaves are red in the spring.
