Narrative
Introduced by Baltet Nurseries, troyes, France in 1933. Received at Wooster, Ohio, from USDA as PI 131123 in 1942. Fruit size medium, roundish, flattened, irregularly shaped. Skin greenish-yellow, often completely covered with russet, may be blushed with red. Flesh color variable, soft, medium, gramular, tender, juicy, sweet; stone cells scarce, confined to core. Flavor fair to good. Harvest second week in October. Keeping quality fairly good. Late harvested variety. Fairly attractive. Should have further observation. -- F.S. Howlett, Ohio Ag. Experiment Station, 1957.
