Locality: Collected in Chitral, 14km south of Drosh, from a large group of trees of this species -above the road- the best concentration of old trees collectors saw.

Elevation: 1340m.
Environment description: River valley in the mountains. Full sun exposure, 15 degrees slope, northwest aspect. Loam soil, moderate stoniness, well-drained.
Number of plants sampled: 6
Comment: Associated vegetation: Quercus baloot, Artemesia. Collector's note: local people had been harvesting the fruit for food.
