Narrative
Said to be a hybrid seedling of P. mutica X P. chinensis produced from seed obtained from Claude D. Tribble, Elk Grove, CA, 1/4/24. Hybrid parent probably produced by Mr. Rixford at Chico and sent to Mr. Tribble for trial as a rootstock. Mr. Tribble was the first to plant a sizeable pistachio orchard in CA that continued to be the largest planting known in this state until the late 1950's.
