Two small plants were given to Chris Upton by a volunteer; further information was not known at the time of accessioning, but in January 2024 it was determined that they were actually rooted suckers from a plant purchased by Arboretum volunteer Nancy Hanna from Camellia Forest Nursery in January 2014 and then donated to the Arboretum. At the time of purchase, it was being sold as E. chrysantha 'Hawksridge Selection', an invalid name, but later the nursery began selling it as 'Hawksridge'.2154558NA 85979
