Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.

(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)

This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794

This species can form large clonal colonies via rhizomes at approximately 6-8" below soil level. Genetics of this accession originate from central Iowa which is close to the eastern edge of the species native range. Seed production is extremely rare and the presence of this species in native seed production nurseries or nursery trade is non-existent (2024). Small dark-blue flowers generally appear (central Iowa) in early June. Flower stalks, bracts, leaves, and stems are densely covered in silvery hairs giving the plant a silver, white appearance. Fruits are a one-seeded pod measuring less than 1/4 " in length. 2167812Ames 36249
