Cultivar
Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Adonis 'Shichi-henge'. Checked in bloom 2/84 to verify name; 'Henge' is not correct, per Barry Yinger; Only known fertile clone in U.S. per John Gyer (retired, lives in Wilmington, DE 11/91). [Name is actually 'Shichi-henge', and the plants in our collection do match the description, verified in bloom on 2/1/2018--they are variable from single or near-single to semi-double, sometimes on the same plant. NA 72194 is likely seedling material from this accession, based on available information. -SBL 2/2/2018]
