Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.

(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)

This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as

59OPGC 8109CA190B-154Taraxia ovata (Nutt. ex Torr. & A. Gray) Small California, United StatesOPGCNot Available2020Wild materialNew Jepson Manual taxon nomenclature is Taraxia ovata, suncups. This plant was interesting to collect because the ovaries are below the soil surface. A knife was used to cut below soil surface and shear dihiscent fruit capsules off above where the taproot begins. It was important to not cut too deep and nick the taproots. We collected the fruits once the top growth leaves were dried. We scraped off these dried leaves, and in doing so, we saw a small divot. We used a knife and gently cut a pad of soil only about .25 to .75 inches deep. This revealed the fruit capsules. We found that by June 27, 2019 most of the capsules had dispersed seed. Ants were observed within field yet no notable ant seed distribution was observed.2110336OPGC 8109
