Epiphytic. Grows on rhododendron branches in the wild
Wild material
A rhododendron relative with small, glossy and deep green pointed leaves arranged along long arching stems. Beautiful and interesting tubular cream?white flowers hang in clusters along the pendulous stems. This plant is epiphytic in the wild and can be grown in a hanging basket or on an old stump. Drought tolerant once established, it is best to strongly pinch it back for the first couple of years. Native to the eastern Himalaya where it grows from the branches of large rhododendrons and other trees. This plant is distinct and highly ornamental.
