Plant height averaged range 70+- 10 cm. The mean heading date was 2.5 days later than the four CKs, and maturity as the same as the four CKs. ShunMai1718 has white glumes with medium beak (2-4 mm) ad oblique shoulder. The head is fully awn, dense, and clavate in shape. The kernels are ovate and white with vitreous texture and shalow to mid-deep crease and short ot medium long brush. The mean TKW range was 42+- 8 g and had been as high as 58 g. The mean grain vollume weight was 800 gL-1. The mean grain protein content was 14.5%. T he mean wet gluten content was 30.7%. The mean stability time was 9.5 min. The mean SDS-sedimentation of volume was 46.3 ml. The mean extensibilty was 158 mm. SDSPAGE results showed that ShunMai1718 has the (1, 17+18, 5+10) HMW-GS band combination, and also carries the IB/IR translocation. ShunMai1718 was sensitive to mixed yellow rust (caused by Puccinia striiformis Westend.f.sp.tritici) races (CYR33,CY32, CY31, CY30, CY29, CYR17, Su-14, Su-1 and CH42), sensitive ot mixed leaf rust (caused by Puccinia graminis Pers. F.sp.tritici Erik.) races, sensitive to mixed powdery mildew (caused by Erysiphe graminis DC.f.sp. tritici Marchal) races (V1, V3a, V3b, V3c, V3d, V3f, V4a, V4b, V5, V6, V7, V8, V17, V19, V23, V24, V25, V30, V34, V35), and sensitive to Fusarium head blight (caused by Fusarium fungi) races (F15, F34, F0301, F0609), mid-sensitive to eyespot (caused by necrotrophic fungi) race R0301.
