Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.

(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)

This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794
PI 651649

0PI 702365'Nachit'Triticum turgidum L. subsp. durum (Desf.) van Slageren Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, MoroccoNLGRPNot Available2023DEVELOPEDThe cultivar ‘Nichit’ is the result of a cross-carried out by the ICARDA o in 2004, which involved a two-way cross between the elite line Amedakul 1 and a Triticum dicoccoides accession collected from Syria. The F7:12 homogenized seeds were submitted to the Moroccan catalogue for a potential registration as a new durum wheat cultivar in Morocco. After two years of multi-location testing, the Moroccan catalogue officially recognized this candidate as superior to the used checks and it was officially released as a cultivar in 2018. ‘Nachit’ is a CWR-derived durum wheat cultivar that successfully incorporates several desirable traits from Triticum turgidum ssp. Dicoccoides. It outperformed all checks in terms of high protein content, and large grain size. Moreover, Nachit showed good performance in terms of grain yield in arid zones compared to other cultivars expressing good tolerance to drought. ‘Nachit’ is a new cultivar well adapted to the Moroccan dry conditions that should be promoted for larger adoption by farmers.2141565PI 702365
