| 0 | PI 702593 | 'Successor' | Hordeum vulgare L. subsp. vulgare | Oregon, United States | NSGC | | Not Available | 2023 | DEVELOPED | | | | | | Cultivar | ‘Successor’, experimental designation DH190481, is a two-row spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) released by Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station in 2023. It is notable for tolerance to imidazolinone herbicides and can be planted in a rotation with crops that are treated with these chemicals. Successor is well adapted to dryland production in the Pacific Northwest and is being released as a feed variety. This assessment evaluated the variety in a multi-environment variety trial in Eastern Oregon and Washington and in an on-farm trial at a commercial partner. It showed strong performance and matched or exceeded expectations set by the only other currently available imidazolinone-tolerant variety adapted to the target growing region, Survivor. | 2141992 | PI 702593 |
