Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.

(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)

This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794
PI 651649
PI 651650
When searching a range of accessions, use the Advanced Search tab with the Accession Identifier Range criterion.

The more information you provide, the better the search will be.

0RCRC 4246'Foliis variegatis'Citrus ×latifolia (Yu. Tanaka) Tanaka Toscana, ItalyRIVImage2009DONATED06/15/2009CultivarAccording to David Karp (see Source History): "This accession has been tentatively proposed at the Tintori Nursery as a variegated sport of Tahiti lime or a similar fruit, but the owners also append the notation, 'da classificare', 'needs to be classified.' Both the foliage and the fruit are variegated, but the flesh is straw-colored, and the aroma too seems more indicative of a citron-lemon hybrid." (RR Krueger, 09/02/2010)1846912RCRC 4246
1RRUT 452'Italian pink-fleshed variegated'Citrus ×limon (L.) Osbeck Toscana, ItalyRIVImageNot Available2009DONATED06/15/2009CultivarThis is a historical European variety. According to David Karp (see source history): "According to Stefano Tintori, on a visit to the Tintori Nursery on 09/08/08, this selection is distinct from the Variegated pink-fleshed Eureka lemon, [R]CRC 2367 [PI 539315], present in California. Both fruit and tree do appear to be similar to the California cultivar. The Italian selection is said to be more productive. It is of interest that the Tintoris' book, Ornamental Citrus plants, does cite an Italian description of this variety from the 1880s." Click the image from Tintori et al (2002) for this description and additional information on this genotype. (RR Krueger, 09/02/2010)

The dossier on this variety compiled by David Karp contains nice images and the original description from 1888. Access it in the section "Other information about accession" below. (RR Krueger, 4/17/2020)

2RRUT 453'Salò'Citrus medica L. Toscana, ItalyRIVImage2009DONATED06/15/2009CultivarThis is a historical European variety. More information and historical references are available by clicking the image below from Tintori et al (2002). The reference from Gallesio (1811) shown there additionally states: "The small citron of Saland#242; is a very fine fruit, sought after for the aroma of the outer and for thre delicacy of the inner skin. It originally appeared at Saland#242;, on the Lake of Garda, where its culture is very extensive. It is also cultivated at Nervi, at Pegi, and at Final, where it is called cedrino. It differs from the citron of Florence only in the leaf, which, in the latter, resembles that of the lemon, while that of Saland#242; hasa an entirely citron leaf; and in the form of the fruit, which is a little more ovate. Some pretend that this is inferior in taste and perfume to the citron of Florence." (RR Krueger, 09/02/2010)1846908RRUT 453
3RRUT 454'Horned'Citrus ×aurantium L. Toscana, ItalyRIVImage2009DONATED06/15/2009CultivarThis is a historical European variety. See the image below from Tintori et al for more information and historical references. There are various other 'Corniculata' at Riverside. They need to be compared morphologically and with regard to passport data and the redundancies removed. (RR Krueger, 09/02/2010)1846909RRUT 454
4RRUT 455'Amoa 8'Citrus ×aurantium L. var. chrysocarpa (Hassk.) ined. Sicilia, ItalyRIVImage2009DEVELOPED1990CultivarThis accession was apparently developed and selected by ISA for use in the ornamental market. See Abstracts of the XLVI Italian Society of Agricultural Genetics Annual Congress 2002. This is a budwood introduction of the same genotype as RRUT 289. It should therefore be truer to type and not have juvenility issues. RRUT 289 should be considered for de-accessioning when (and if) RRUT 455 is released from quarantine and evaluated. 5RRUT 456'Vanilla acidless'Citrus ×limon (L.) Osbeck Toscana, ItalyRIVImage2009DONATED06/15/2009CultivarAccording to David Karp (see Source History): "This appears to be a true botanical lemon, C limon, that is acidless -- one of several such mutations known in the literature and from germplasm collections."
