Select the tab for the type of search. Each tab has everything you need to do to perform that type of search.
(Results of more than 500 will not return images.)
This search will show only accessions that have material that may be requested, including those not seasonally available.
You may list accessions with separators (commas or semicolons, as shown below) or by entering them on separate lines, such as
PI 651794
PI 651649
PI 651650
When searching a range of accessions, use the Advanced Search tab with the Accession Identifier Range criterion.
The more information you provide, the better the search will be.

| 0 | GSHO 1300 | uzu1.a | Hordeum vulgare L. subsp. vulgare | Colorado, United States | NSGC | | | 1994 | DONATED | 05/1994 | | | | | Genetic material | The uzu1.a gene has pleiotropic effects on the elongation of the coleoptile, leaf, culm, rachis internode, awn, glume, and kernel. These organs are often reduced in length and increased in width. Changes in organ length are temperature sensitive, but heading date and maturity are unaltered. The coleoptile of uzu plants shows a prominent projection or hook near the apex. Sometimes the coleoptile of the mutant shows a V-shaped notch on the side opposite from the projection. Thus, the apex of the coleoptile has two notches, one on each side. The temperature sensitive reduction in culm length associated with uzu1.a gene produces plants ranging from less than 1/4 normal in warm environments to 5/6 normal in cool ones. Inheritance: Monofactorial recessive. Located in chromosome 3HL, about 17.6 cM proximal from the alm (albino lemma) locus. Previous nomenclature and gene symbolization: Normal vs uzu=h. Uzu=u. Uzu (semi-brachytic)=uz. Uzu 2=uz2. Uzu 3=uz3. Mutational events: uzu1.a in many Japanese cultivars. Mutant used for description and seed stocks: uzu1.a in Baitori 11 (OUJ371, PI 182624, GSHO 1300); uzu1.a in Bowman (PI 483237)*7 (GSHO 1963). | 1513817 | GSHO 1300 |
