0DVIT 366CalmeriaVitis vinifera L. subsp. vinifera California, United StatesDAVNot Available1983DEVELOPED1939Cultivated materialType = Table Grape. Per Salter (see citation): "Thee Calmeria is a late shipping and storage table grape, ripening from late September to early October in the Fresno, California area. The clusters are medium large, conical, well filled, with medium shoulders. The fruit color is greenish-yellow with a heavy light gray bloom. The berries are firm, elongated, ovoid to cylindrical, and slightly truncated, ranging in size from 5/3 to 3/4 inch wide and 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inches long. The skin is tough and berries adhere well to the pedicel. The seeds are medium in size and usually range from 2 to 4 per berry. The eating quality is very good, comparing favorable with other storage grapes. The calmeria usually tests higher in sugar and slightly lower in acid when harvested at the same time as Ohanez. The vine is rated as medium in vigor under the soil conditions where it has been tested." See also DVIT 365.1005638DVIT 366
