SOS.ACCESSION.RESPONSIBILTY

Evaluation location: Washington, United States
The Seeds of Success (SOS) program is currently managed in Pullman, Washington by Dr. Richard C. Johnson and Mike Cashman. The over all program is managed out of Washington DC. Once Mike Cashman gets each accessions into the National Plant Germplasm System(NPGS) he send part of the seed to National Center for Genetic Resource Preservation (NCGRP) at Fort Collins, Colorado. Eventually Mike Cashman will ask other curators or sites to accept responsibility for these SOS accessions if they want responsibility to maintain them. An example would be if a curator already has responsibility for taxonomy XYZ, then they would be asked to accept any SOS accession with taxonomy XYZ.
