2012 Wheat Laboratory Evaluation. Analysis of single head based CORE inventories. Kernel color and thousand kernel weight recorded with the Foss GrainCheck(TM) 2312 Analyzer. Kernel color is the coded value derived from average values for intensity, red, green, and blue. Based on the GC Color Average: 1 = 28.00 to 37.99; 2 = 38.00 to 39.99; 3 = 40.00 to 49.99; 4 = 50.00 to 50.99 with G>38.00; 5 <28.00; 7 = 50.00 to 62.99; 8 >63.00. Codes 6 and 9 are not used. Code 8 used strictly for white and not amber. These are the criteria used for hexaploid wheats.
