2011 Barley Laboratory Evaluation. Lemma color and thousand kernel weight for hulled barley accessions were recorded with the Foss GrainCheck(TM) 2312 Analyzer. Lemma color is the coded value derived from average values for intensity, red, green, and blue. Based on the GC Color Average: 1 <31.00; 1A, 1B, 3, 4 = 31.01 to 43.99; 5 = 44.00 to 52.99; 7 = 53.00 to 76.69; 9 = 76.70 to 78.10; 8 > 78.10. Codes 1A, 1B, 3, and 4 were separated by visual observation.
