Oat Crown Rust Evaluation. St. Paul, MN, 1998. Crown rust readings on adult stage plants grown adjacent to Buckthorn nursery. The nursery was inoculated with as adult plants by spraying on a suspension of rust spores produced from a bulk collection from the 1997 Buckthorn nursery. Readings were made on flag leaves 12-14 days after inoculation. Starter (susceptible) and Portage (partial resistance) were included at intervals as checks. Order 96260, 114628.
