Hummer Environmental information (prepared on November 1996) Data was collected from the Ribes collection at the USDA-ARS National Clonal Germplasm Repository Corvallis in the field collection at the north farm, 33707 Peoria Road, Corvallis, OR 97333 Climatic information (Excerpted from Taylor,G.H. 1996. A record setting 4-day rainy period is known as the "flood of 1996" occurred in February. March had several days when buds were beginning to swell and open with highs of 65 degrees F and lows below 30 degrees F. April, May and June were normal. July and August were hot and dry. Only one day of August received measureable precipitaion. September and October were Normal. The second "flood of 1996" occurred in November with 5 inches of rain falling within 24 hours on November 20. Total annual precipitation: 73.21 inches (The wettest year on record.)
