Environment description: Prairie remnant with a long history of grazing. Rolling hills with variable topography ranging from 10-50 degree slopes.

Associated species: Lobelia spicata (common-abundant), Ratibida columnifera, Solidago rigida (abundant), Dalea purpurea (extremely abundant), Pediomelium argophyllum (1 clonal patch), Delphinium carolinianum subsp. virescens, Echinacea pallida, Astragalus crassicarpus (occassional), Schizachyrium scoparium, Dicanthelium sp., Sorghastrum nutans, Rosa arkansana, Asclepias viridiflora (1 plant), Symphyotrichum oolentangiense, Symphyotrichum laeve, Ascelpias syrica, and upland Carex spp.

Comment: A total of 32 specimens were sampled across two sites separated by approximately 15.22 miles. Approximately 16 specimens sampled at each site. Coordinates provided refers to the first site sampled. Coordinates for the other site may be provided upon request. Timing of harvest was near perfect for the first site sampled (Perkins) while the second site (Tuel) was approximately 10 days past peak likely due to site being burned in spring resulting in plants being phenologically further along/ahead in comparison.
