Environment description: Growing in mixed woodland.
Number of plants sampled: 3
Comment: Deciduous shrub 1.5 to 1.8 m tall, multi-stemmed from base, much branched above. Sterile flowers with bracts rose-pink on reverse side when old. Seed collected from several plants. Min. temp. -25 deg. C. Snow 60 cm per annum. Herbarium specimen # 19134 (Meyer).
