An erect bunchgrass cool season perennial that grows 1 to 3 feet The seed head is a loose panicle with spikelets containing one floret at the ends of the panicle branches Seeds are covered in a dense white hair Glumes remain attached to the panicles after seed drop (Recollection of CA370-230, W6 53643)
