Locality: Between Itasca State Park and White Earth State Forest, from 0.75 to 2.5 miles north of State Highway 113. Along McKenzie Road and Anchor Hill Road, T143N R37W Sections 22, 28, 30 and 31.

Environment description: Understory of mixed forest in wetland complex. Near southern edge of transition zone from temperate to boreal forest.
Number of plants sampled: 8
Associated species: Betula papyrifera, Larix laricina, Viburnum rafinesqueanum, Cornus rugosa, Rosa sp., Acer rubrum, Pinus strobus, Pinus resinosa, Populus tremuloides, Podophyllum pedatum, Ribes sp., Diervilla lonicera, Corylus americana, Crataegus sp., Dryopteris sp., and Aquilegia canadensis.
Comment: Plants occur infrequently throughout a two square mile area. Coordinates for each plant sampled may be provided upon request.
