Associated species: Magnolia fraseri; Pyrularia pubera; Quercus spp.; Rubus sp.; Smilax sp.; ferns.
Comment: Shrub. Seeds collected from several plants along the trail. Two herbarium vouchers collected. Some of the fruits [at the first site] are perfectly ripe and other are much further behind. More fruit collected (from two plants, bulked with first collection) at the second site.
