Narrative
Full name as recorded at U.S. National Arboretum: Ligustrum sempervirens. From open-pollinated seed of Windsor Great Park Valley Gardens plant 1999-7467, collected by Tony Aiello on 22 Oct. 2017. Windsor received that accession from RHS Garden Wisley in 1988 with field collection number BRLL12023; this was collected in S. China by C. Brickell and A. Leslie during the Brickell & Leslie Expedition [to] China 1987, according to a 12/21/2018 email communication from R. Wilson to Morris Arboretum staff. [The provenance of this collection was not transmitted, but it may have been cultivated, given the overall provenance of the accession as it was received.]
