Narrative
Perennial, 25-85cm tall, rhizomatous. Culms erect, terete, 1-3mm diam., smooth. Leaves terete, hollow, septate. Inflorescences dense, branches ascending to spreading, terminal racemes of 1-8 heads, 1-13cm, 40-70-flowered and spheric. Flower tepals 6, apices acuminate. Capsules shorter than or equaling tepals, 1-chambered, apex acuminate. Seeds oblong.
