Narrative
Ho 13-710 is resistant to smut (Sporisorium scitamineum), and brown rust (Puccinia melanocephala). Ho 13-710 is susceptible to Sugarcane mosaic caused by Sorghum mosaic virus. The Ho 13-710 canopy has brown colored shallow deltoid-crescent with straight basal margin shaped dewlaps. The auricles are present, short, and lanceolate shaped. The leaf sheaths are light green, with no silicate hair, and the sheaths adhere loosely to the stalk. The rind color on stalks of Ho 13-710 is yellow where the internodes are exposed to sunlight. There is little wax on the leaf sheath. The canopy leaf blades are bent toward the tip. Internodes are slightly narrower at the middle or bobbin shaped with few growth cracks. Bud is rectangular within the root growth ring with no bud groove.
