Locality: Two areas sampled including (#1) located just northeast of Pelican Lake on east side of State Highway 45, T35N R11E NW 1/4 NE 1/4 Sec. 18 and (#2) located on the northeastern edge of Monico (Monico Creek floodplain) on east side of State Highway 45, T36N R11E NW 1/4 Sec. 29

Associated species: Salix petiolaris, Salix lucida, Salix eriocephala, Salix discolor, Alnus incana subsp. rugosa, Spiraea alba, Cornus sericea, Populus tremuloides, Larix laricina, Picea mariana and Fraxinus nigra.
Comment: Distance between two areas sampled is 3.75 miles with approximately 2-3 plants sampled at each area. Coordinates provided refer to one area sampled. Coordinates for the other area sampled may be provided upon request. Viburnum opulus var. americanum is a rather rare species throughout Oenida County.
