Description:
S11-17025C was developed and released by the University of Missouri Fisher Delta Research, Extension, and Education Center (MU-FDREEC). It was derived from the cross of ‘S05-11268’ × ‘S05-11482’. The female parent S05-11268 was developed and released by the MU-FDREEC as an early MG V (RM 5.2) conventional (non-GM) soybean cultivar. It has determinate growth habit, white flowers, tawny pubescence, tan pod walls, and black hilum color. It is resistant to stem canker (Diaporthe aspalathi Jansen, Castlebury & Crous) (SC), reniform nematode (Rotylenchulus reniformis Linford & Oliveira) (RN), moderately resistant to soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines Ichinohe) (SCN) races 1, 2, 3, 5, 14 (HG type not reported), sudden death syndrome (Fusarium virguliforme O’Donell & T. Aoki) (SDS), and frogeye leaf spot (Cercospora sojina K. Hara) (FLS). S05-11268 was derived from the cross of ‘Stoddard’ (Reg. No. CV-487, PI 643911) and U98-311442. Stoddard was developed and released by the MU-FDREEC and is a high-yielding MG early V cultivar that has broad resistance to SCN, southern root-knot nematode [Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid and White) Chitwood] (SRKN), and SDS. U98-311442 was an experimental line developed by the University of Nebraska and is resistant to SCN race 3 (HG type 0). The male parent S05-11482 is a MG early V (RM 5.2) non-GM soybean cultivar developed and released by the MU-FDREEC. It has determinate growth habit, white flowers, tawny pubescence, tan pod walls, and black hilum color. It is resistant to RKN, and FLS, moderately resistant to SC, SDS, and SCN races 1, 2, 3, 5, and 14 (HG type not reported). S05-11482 was derived from the cross of S99-2281 (Reg. No. GP-361, PI 654356) and S00-9985-03. S99-2281 is a germplasm line developed and released by the MU-FDREEC, and is resistant to SCN races 1, 2, 3, 5, and 14, SRKN, and RN. S99-2281 carries the Rcs3 allele which confers resistance to all known races of C. sojina in the U.S., the causal agent of FLS.
