Comment: Very localized population. All specimens noted and sampled within a 30 meter x 30 meter area. Average distance between specimens sampled approximately 10 meters. Observations on 5 April 2022 noted catkins barely open, thus not able to determine sexual status. Obserations on 13 April 2022 determined flowering just beginning and developed enough to identify sexual status and collect voucher specimens. Noted one specimen with yellowish stems that was in the same habitat and of similar growth habit as the other red stemmed specimens identified as S. myricoides. Collection assisted by Shea Bramlish. Coordinates provided for central location of population. Coordinates for all specimens sampled may be provided upon request.
