Description:
Cedar Creek is the result of three generations of selection for winter survivorship within the cultivar Kanlow, all conducted in USDA hardiness zones 3 or 4 (Wisconsin or Minnesota). Numbers of selected individuals were: 37, 76, and 24 in the three generations. Selection intensities were approximately 0.001, 0.0025, and 0.01 for the three generations. Syn1 and Syn2 seed of Cedar Creek were produced at the University of Illinois.
