Habitat: Forest / woodland
Environment description: Moist areas near streambanks and bottomlands in hardwood forest understory.
Number of plants sampled: 150
Associated species: Tilia americana, Carya ovata, Ulmus americana, Acer saccharum subsp. nigrum, Ribes sp., Carex sp., Parthenocissus quinquefolia, Smilax sp., Quercus rubra, Quercus macrocarpa, Quercus alba, Celtis occidentalis, Gymnocladus dioicus, Gleditsia triacanthos, Rubus sp., and Urtica dioica.
Comment: A scattered population occuring in small patches throughout the park. In total, approximately 200 genets were noted. Also sampled on October 4th and 14th, 2021.

Plants in nature ranged in height from approximately one to three feet, growing as spreading clumps. Peak flowering in 2021 occurred near 18 September.
