Environment description: Very dry, remnant sand prairie.

Associated species: Lithospermum canescens, Achillea millefolium, Asclepias syriaca, Asclepias verticillata, Monarda punctata (abundant), Bromus inermis, and Artemisia ludoviciana
Comment: Localized population following western boundary of preserve estimated at a couple thousand specimens. Population noted for approximately 0.20 miles long and 75 yards wide. Sampled slightly past peak fruiting.
