Environment description: Plants scattered very widely on a S-SW-facing slope in black powdery soil and rocks in a grassland. Population size of about 50 plants.

Associated species: Grasses with scattered Juniperus monospermum, Ericameria nauseosa, Bouteloua gracilis, and sunflowers
