Comment: Tree; height 25 ft; DBH 12 cm; bark gray-brown to black, corky and forming rectangular plates; leaves ovate, elliptic, or obovate (base cuneate to rounded, apex abruptly acuminate); abaxial surface whitish, appressed-hairy with tufts of erect hairs present in axils of secondary veins, adaxial surface dark green and appressed-hairy with 5 to 7 secondary veins per side; flowers not present; drupe, red, 15 mm by 8 mm.
