Locality: Hokkaido Prefecture, Hidaka Subprefecture; Hidaka District [originally listed as Shizunai]; Hokkaido University Agriculture Research Farm. [Town/district originally listed as Shizunai; following a merger with Mitsuishi the town is now known as Shinhidaka, and is in the newly created Hidaka District, which is comprised of former Shizunai District and Mistsuishi District.]

Environment description: Top of ridge falling away from trail. Found along trail area at peak of hillside, deep shaded canopy. Growing in upland silty clay.

Comment: 6-8 in. spreading perennial. Medium green foliage; 50 percent flower[ing], 50 percent fruit[ing] present[ly].
