Associated species: Hypericum punctatum, Sicyos angulatus, Lactuca aff. floridana, Frangula caroliniana, Hybanthus concolor, Aureolaria sp. , Boehmeria cylindrica, Cocculus carolinus, Glandularia sp. nov., and Commelina diffusa.

Narrative
Described in 2020 (Floden and Schilling 2020), Blephilia woffordii is a rare species only known from four populations across the Caney Fork River, stenoendemic to Tennessee (DeKalb County). Perennial, forming large multi-stemmed clumps with flowering occurring May-June displaying corollas that are pale lilac-colored. The habitat of B. woffordii is often at the base of slopes and lower slopes of hanging bluffs and ledges along the cliff faces, often in mesic situations (Floden and Schilling 2020) on shallow limestone outcrops. Plants grown in full sun are tinged red on the stem and calyx and mature calyces smell like cinnamon when crushed (T. Crabtree, pers. communication 17 September 2020).
