Locality: Rocky Branch Public Use Area, Tuscaloosa County. Approximately 10.5 miles northeast of Tuscaloosa near Holt Lake (in the Black Warrior River). Approximately 1,250 feet north of Rocky Branch Road. Along trail to Lock 14.

Associated species: Fagus grandifolia, Vitis riparia, Magnolia sp., Carya spp., Quercus sp.
Comment: A fairly small population (10 - 20 genotypes noted), with sparse abundance. Collections made from 5 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 33.280463 deg. N to 33.280854 deg. N and longitude 87.405894 deg. W to 87.406921 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86195.01/acc. 641, the first plant sampled in the population.
