Environment description: Shady roadside, wooded slopes.
Number of plants sampled: 22
Associated species: Liriodendron tulipifera, Smilax sp., Pueraria montana var. lobata, Quercus alba, Vitis riparia.
Comment: A huge continuous population (likely at least 1000 genotypes) scattered throughout the area. Some locations have extremely high density while others have only a few plants. The highest density areas cover approximately 3.85 square miles. Collections made from 22 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 32.888929 deg. N to 33.010416 deg. N and longitude 87.302717 deg. W to 87.431189 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86183.01/acc. 624, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates for each sampled plant are available upon request.
