Locality: Sicily Island Hills State Wildlife Management Area (Also called JC "Sonny" Gilbert Wildlife Management Area), Catahoula Parish. 1.5 miles east of the Ouachita River and 0.65 miles north of Highway 8. Approximately 5 meters east of unnamed road in the WMA.

Environment description: Shady ravines and hillsides.
Number of plants sampled: 3
Associated species: Magnolia grandflora, Aralia spinosa, Arundinaria gigantea, Parthenocissus quinquefolia.
Comment: Very small population (5 - 10 genotypes) scattered throughout the WMA. Locally very rare. Only 3 of the plants flowered in 2018. Collections made from 3 distinct plants across an area spanning latitude 31.805344 deg. N to 34.805371 deg. N and longitude 91.75303 deg. W to 91.75777 deg. W. The GPS coordinates provided refer to NA 86172.01/acc. 339, the first plant sampled in the population. GPS coordinates of each individual sampled may be provided upon request (NA 86172.01 through 86172.03).
