Locality: Gadsden County, approximately 18 miles west of Quincy, just east of the Apalachicola River (mile marker 161). Drainage ditch at Interstate 10 rest stop on south side of Interstate.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Growing in drainage ditch with granite rocks as drainage substrate in addition to naturally occuring limestone.
Number of plants sampled: 1
Associated species: Magnolia grandiflora, Acer sp., Platanus occidentalis, Liquidambar styraciflua, Solidago caesia.
Comment: Very small population with only one mature flowering individual. Several vegetative juveniles occurred nearby within approximately 100 m.
