Environment description: High-qulity fen, remnant.
Number of plants sampled: 100
Associated species: Salix discolor, Salix humilis, Carex sp., Cornus sericea and Onoclea sensibilis.

Comment: Likely 500+ genets throughout a 3 acre area, perhaps more in adjacent area not explored. One specimen noted to 4' in height. Vouchers were collected 19 April and 17 May approximately 5-7 days from peak flowering and 10-12 days from peak fruiting, respectively. In comparison to local Salix discolor, S. candida flowered and fruited circa 10-12 days after S. discolor. During grow out of original seed collected in 2019, majority of seedlings demonstrate hybrid characteristics indicating presence of hybridization occurring in nature.
